Open Subtitle

When you are watching TV then we hear and see what is going on but what if you cannot, what if you were deaf and couldn't read lips, then you would need to have subtitles on the screen so that you could follow the action easily without difficulty and still be able to enjoy the movie or TV program without feeling left out.

There are something called open subtitle: if you are unsure of exactly what a subtitle is then what they are will be to see writing across the bottom of the screen telling those who are hard of hearing or deaf what the people are saying in the TV program or movie; sometimes it might not be writing across the screen but someone sighing language at the side of the screen so that you can follow your TV shows every day without problems. Now a days, you are going to get the option to have any subtitles on the screen when you are watching certain programs, even on DVDs now they have the option of having subtitles, so whether it is in another language or you are hard of hearing then you have an option to still follow the movie and enjoy it also.

Many TV's will also do this, though you might have to put your teletext pages on first and press a certain number or for others you might have to go to your menu button and switch the subtitles block so that you will now get your subtitles.

Getting an open subtitle is not just for those who are hard of hearing or deaf, you can get them up on your computer screen or TV screens if you are watching a foreign language program. So if you are watching Dutch TV while on holiday then you will probably be able to get English or any language subtitles up so that you can still follow your programs even if you are on holiday.

Now a days, the TV companies are making it easier for those with some hearing problems to get subtitles on their TVs or computers without difficulty. It is because there is a demand for it and many do need it unfortunately but at least everyone can still enjoy their programs without having to miss it and try catch up with it at a later date. It is just one of the reasons as to why the need for an open subtitle system is needed.
